 Mr. Timothy Ellis Brown, age 62, a resident of Belington, WV, departed this life on Sunday evening July 26, 2026 at his home. Death was following a period of declining health.

He was born on March 4, 1964 at Elkins, WV, a son of the late Everett Leon and Alfreda Yvonne Cutright Brown.

He is survived by one son; Graham Blackwell of Germany and one daughter; Mariah Lenice Brown of Gulfport, Mississippi, three sisters; Jenny Schott of Ligonier, PA, Cheryl K. Harris of Belington and Cindy Brown Davis of Belington, two brothers; Greg Brown and wife Jill of Onego, WV and Randall Brown of Belington. Additional survivors include five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Timothy attended the schools of Barbour County and was Protestant by faith. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He spent 20 plus years in active duty being stationed in several different areas and finally retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He was very proud of his service to our country and was a highly decorated Navy man receiving many service medals. He was a member of the VFW Laurel Mountain Post 410 of Belington and a member of the American Legion Post #44 of Barbour County in Philippi. He loved his family very much and also his K-9 companion, Daisy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Per the family’s request, cremation was honored. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Tuesday August 11, 2026 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. A memorial service will then be conducted at 3PM from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Rick Price officiating. Full Military Rites will be accorded from the funeral home chapel by the United States Navy and the American Legion Post #96 of Belington. The Talbott Funeral in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Timothy Ellis Brown.
